AM 610You've Got Questions....
Who do you Normally work with? We help families with high school age kids understand the little known secrets on how to send their kids to a 4 year college and not go broke.
Are there people you won't work with? Yes, if you have very very young children, or kids in their 2nd or third year in college. Due to the personal care we give each client we can only accept 5 new clients each month. Since, we can only accept a limited number of new clients each month, we have to be selective on who we coach through this process. What makes you different than me calling the university or talking with my financial planner or CPA? A lot! I understand the financial aid formula so I know what will raise or lower the amount of money you pay for college. We are specialists in assisting families. A lot of times I run into parents who are frustrated or confused and certainly overwhelmed with the choices and steps they need to take to get their kids into the best colleges and not break their bank or hurt their cash flow. Also, we've worked with many students and understand many of the colleges in the area as to what they need for acceptance, how much financial aid they give, and the general experience that other students have had at the schools. We also have our pulse on what's going on with student and parent loans, legislation that can affect your student, and those little know scholarships.
This sounds good, but I was hoping I could talk to you directly first. Can I do that? Absolutely. My schedule gets booked up quickly, but if you contact my office at 248-939-2978 we can set up a 15 minute phone call.
You can tell me a little bit about your self and your family and what have you already started to do to plan for your child's college education, and I can share my thoughts with you about what might be done.
If at the end of that time we mutually agree we’d be a good “fit” for each other, then we can set up a face to face meeting. If not, then it’s no charge and you walk away with some a few ideas on what you can be doing to lower your college costs. When is the best time to start all this? The best time to start this is when your child is a Freshman or Sophomore. You’re probably saying should I start when my child was born? Yes, but life happens and we don't always have a chance or the ability to meet our original expectations. You've probably been saving for your retirement, vacations, and managing life's challenges. However, by Freshman/Sophomore year planning for college must move to the forefront of your mind or it will be difficult to send your child to a 4 year college and not strain your monthly budget!! Even if you have not started to save for your child's education, it’s important that you start NOW. The earlier you start the more money you will get and the more options your family will have!
Here is a timeline of things that could happen during those years leading up to Senior year.
